  • 1972 Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1501 Sigma Dial Engine Turned Bezel

Amazing 1972 Rolex Steel Oyster Perpetual1501 Sigma Dial. The watch is in a stainless steel 34mm case. The all original dial is marked: Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified 0 T Swiss T 0. The serial number of the watch is 3,59X,XXX. Running on a original Rolex automatic wind movement is the 26 jewel cal. 1570.This is one of those vintage Rolex watches that I know I will always regret selling. It’s the kind of watch I’ll talk about over a few whiskeys with watch geeks, reminiscing on the past. It’s a vintage Rolex Date Reference 1501, a seemingly average watch. But in its details, it’s a star. Its sharp, early engine turned bezel and lay classic and historical groundwork for this 1970s reference but its the dial that steals the show.
